He hasn’t talked to me once, but it looks like he’ll finally have to.
Because I got him into trouble, and now we have to do night shifts together.
My one stupid mistake put him in a compromising position.

I came here to learn from him, and really, that’s all I wanted from him.
I admire him for his calm demeanor, for his steady hands in a situation of chaos.
But there is a fire somewhere behind his eyes that is getting to me.

It makes me forget that this is forbidden, that he’s my boss, and I’m an intern.
And I know I have only two options: ignore my feelings and focus on my job. Or…
